The distance, the arguments, the walls that go up when you need each other most. These aren’t signs that your relationship is broken. They’re signs that both of you are trying to protect yourselves. Now it’s time to find your way back to each other.

Stop repeating old patterns and start feeling safe in love
Signs you could benefit from couples therapy:
-You keep having the same argument over and over, without ever reaching a resolution
-One of you pushes to talk things out while the other shuts down or pulls away
-You feel unheard, misunderstood, or criticized, no matter how you try to explain yourself
-Busy schedules, work, or parenting have left you feeling more like roommates than partners
-You snap at each other under stress, then feel distant or guilty afterward
-Physical or emotional intimacy has faded, and you’re not sure how to bring it back
-You struggle to find compromises that feel fair to both of you
-Trust has been broken, and you’re unsure how to rebuild it
-You’re facing a big life change, like moving in together, marriage, a new baby, or a loss
Relationships can be our greatest teachers. The hard moments aren’t signs that you’re failing. They’re invitations to grow. With the right tools, conflict can become an opportunity to understand each other more deeply.
-
Recurring arguments and communication breakdowns
Emotional distance and feeling like roommates
Infidelity, betrayal, and rebuilding trust
Pursue-and-withdraw cycles, where one reaches out and the other pulls away
Fading physical or emotional intimacy
Big life transitions, like moving in together, marriage, a new baby, or a loss
Parenting stress and disagreements about family
Supporting each other through illness, grief, or burnout
Please note: couples therapy isn’t the right fit when there’s active substance use or active abuse in the relationship. If either is happening, we’re glad to help you find support that’s better suited to your situation.
-
Most couples don’t come to therapy because they’ve stopped caring. They come because they care a lot, and the way they’ve been trying to reach each other keeps backfiring. One of you pushes, the other pulls away, and you both end up feeling alone.
In couples therapy, we slow those moments down. We help you see the cycle you’re caught in, so it becomes something you face together instead of something you blame each other for. Underneath the arguments are real needs: to feel seen, to feel safe, to matter. When those needs can be spoken clearly, things start to soften.
We’ll make sure both of you feel heard. Our role isn’t to take sides. It’s to support the relationship.
-
Through our work together, you can:
Break out of the same argument and actually reach resolution
Talk about hard things without shutting down or blowing up
Understand what’s really driving your conflict
Repair more quickly after a rupture
Rebuild trust after it’s been broken
Rediscover closeness, affection, and intimacy
Feel like a team again
How we help
-
It makes sense to avoid the conversations that hurt. But what goes unspoken doesn’t disappear. It shows up as distance, irritation, and the same fight in new clothes.
Think of us as your guides. We’ll help you face what’s been hard to talk about, while keeping the room safe for both of you. When things get heated, we’ll be the calm, steady presence that helps you slow down and stay connected, even in disagreement.
We believe that most couples have far more capacity for repair than they realize. Our goal is to help you build a relationship where both of you feel safe enough to be honest, and close enough to want to be.
The modalities we use
-
When you feel disconnected from your partner, it’s natural to protest, criticize, or pull away. EFT helps you recognize the cycle you get caught in and the deeper feelings underneath it, like the fear of losing each other or of not being enough. As you learn to share these softer emotions and respond to each other in new ways, you build a bond that feels secure. EFT is one of the most researched approaches to couples therapy: studies find that 70–75% of couples move from distress to recovery, and about 90% see significant improvement.
-
In the middle of a conflict, your body often reacts before your mind can catch up. Your heart races, your chest tightens, or you go quiet and numb. Somatic therapy helps each of you notice these signals and settle your nervous system in the moment. Connection can only grow when both partners feel safe. As your bodies learn that it’s safe to slow down, you can stay present with each other instead of falling into fight, flight, or shutdown.
-
The partners we’re drawn to often echo the people who raised us, and so do our hardest conflicts. Imago therapy helps you understand how old childhood wounds show up in your relationship today. Through a structured way of talking called the Imago Dialogue, you’ll practice mirroring, validating, and empathizing with each other. Hard conversations become a chance to truly hear one another, and the relationship becomes a place where both of you can heal.

Yes. Research shows that online therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy for most concerns. Multiple studies found that telehealth produced similar clinical outcomes to traditional therapy, including for anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related conditions.
Many clients also find it easier to fit sessions into their schedules and feel more comfortable opening up from home. -
It depends on your needs, goals, and the type of support you’re seeking. Some clients notice meaningful change in a few months, while others prefer longer-term support to work through deeper patterns, life transitions, or trauma.
Your therapist will collaborate with you to create a personalized plan and check in regularly to make sure therapy continues to feel aligned and helpful. -
You’ll start with a free 30-minute consultation where you can meet your therapist, share what you’re looking for, and ask questions.
We believe therapy should feel collaborative and personalized. Your clinician will partner with you to clarify your goals, set the pace, and build a therapeutic relationship that feels supportive—not overwhelming. -
Our standard therapy sessions are 50 minutes long, which research shows is the ideal length for focused, meaningful therapeutic work. If you and your clinician decide that a longer session would be helpful—for example, during trauma work, couples therapy, or deep processing—you can arrange an extended appointment ahead of time.
Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum, strengthen skills, and create a steady foundation for growth. As you begin to feel more grounded and confident, you and your therapist may shift to biweekly or monthly sessions to support long-term maintenance and integration.
Therapy is always individualized—your clinician will help you find a rhythm that matches your needs, your goals, and your nervous system.
