Reclaim safety without having to relive it forever
You show up, you take care of everyone, and from the outside you look fine. But inside, your body is always on alert. A tone of voice, a certain look, or a news headline you didn’t see coming can send you right back to a place you thought you’d left behind. You know the past is the past. So why does it still feel like it’s happening now?
Signs You Could Benefit from Trauma Therapy:
Trauma doesn’t always look like one big event. It can come from years of feeling unsafe, unseen, or criticized. It can come from a hard childhood, a painful relationship, or a medical crisis. You might notice:
-You feel on edge, jumpy, or tense, even when nothing is wrong
-You overreact to small things, then feel ashamed afterward
-You shut down, go numb, or feel disconnected from your body
-You have nightmares, trouble sleeping, or memories that show up out of nowhere
-You people-please, over-apologize, or struggle to say no
-You find it hard to trust others, or even yourself
-You keep ending up in the same painful relationship patterns
-You understand your past, but talking about it hasn’t made it hurt less
-You have physical symptoms like tension, pain, or fatigue that seem tied to stress
-You’re worried about passing your pain on to your partner or kids
Your survival patterns made sense at the time. They protected you. Now it’s time to learn new ways of coping that fit the person you are today.

You don’t have to keep white-knuckling your way through every trigger. You don’t have to keep feeling like you’re too much, or not enough. Change is possible, and it doesn’t require reliving every painful memory.
Trauma lives in the body, not just in the mind. That’s why understanding your patterns isn’t always enough to change them. In trauma therapy, we work with both your thoughts AND your nervous system, so you can feel calmer, safer, and more like yourself again.
We’ll go at a pace that feels right for you. You’re always in charge of what we explore and when.
-
Trauma therapy isn’t about erasing your past. It’s about making sure your past no longer runs your life. Through our work together, you can:
Feel calmer and more settled in your body
Respond to triggers instead of being hijacked by them
Let go of shame and the harsh voice in your head
Sleep better and feel less exhausted
Set boundaries without guilt
Trust your own instincts again
Build safer, closer relationships
Break old cycles so they stop with you
How we help
-
Avoidance is what keeps trauma cycles going. It makes sense to want to stay away from what hurts, but the more we avoid it, the more power it holds over us.
Think of us as your guides. We’ll help you find the balance between facing the ways trauma shows up in your life today and keeping your safety at the forefront. You’re always in charge of the pace.
When you’re ready to go to the dark, scary places, you won’t go alone. Our therapists will be the calm, regulated nervous system in the room with you, so your body can learn something new: you can handle this. Even when it’s uncomfortable. Even when you don’t like it.
We believe deeply in the strength and resilience of every person we work with. Our evidence-based approach goes beyond talking. It helps you feel the change in your body and nervous system, not just understand it.
Most of all, we’ll help you build a sense of safety within yourself. That confidence carries into every part of your life: your relationships, your career, and your health.
The modalities we use
-
You might notice a part of you that’s always on guard, a part that people-pleases, or a part that shuts down when things get hard. IFS helps you understand these parts with curiosity instead of judgment. Each one developed to protect you. As they begin to trust you, the younger, hurting parts underneath can finally heal, and you can lead your life from a calmer, more confident place. goes here

Trauma isn’t only stored in memories. It lives in your nervous system. SE helps you notice what’s happening in your body, like tension, numbness, or a racing heart, and slowly release the survival energy your body has been holding onto. Instead of staying stuck in fight, flight, or freeze, your body learns it can settle, rest, and feel safe again.
-
Trauma often leaves behind painful beliefs like “it was my fault,” “I can’t trust anyone,” or “I’m not safe.” CPT helps you gently look at these beliefs, understand where they came from, and replace them with ones that are more true and more compassionate. As your thinking shifts, so does how you feel about yourself and the world.

Yes. Research shows that online therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy for most concerns.
Multiple studies found that telehealth produced similar clinical outcomes to traditional therapy, including for anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related conditions.
Many clients also find it easier to fit sessions into their schedules and feel more comfortable opening up from home. -
It depends on your needs, goals, and the type of support you’re seeking. Some clients notice meaningful change in a few months, while others prefer longer-term support to work through deeper patterns, life transitions, or trauma.
Your therapist will collaborate with you to create a personalized plan and check in regularly to make sure therapy continues to feel aligned and helpful. -
You’ll start with a free 30-minute consultation where you can meet your therapist, share what you’re looking for, and ask questions.
We believe therapy should feel collaborative and personalized. Your clinician will partner with you to clarify your goals, set the pace, and build a therapeutic relationship that feels supportive—not overwhelming. -
Our standard therapy sessions are 50 minutes long, which research shows is the ideal length for focused, meaningful therapeutic work. If you and your clinician decide that a longer session would be helpful—for example, during trauma work, couples therapy, or deep processing—you can arrange an extended appointment ahead of time.
Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum, strengthen skills, and create a steady foundation for growth. As you begin to feel more grounded and confident, you and your therapist may shift to biweekly or monthly sessions to support long-term maintenance and integration.
Therapy is always individualized—your clinician will help you find a rhythm that matches your needs, your goals, and your nervous system.
